Homemade Bathroom Spray

21 Nov

I am one of those people were certain smells means an instant headache, and bathroom sprays are at the top of the list of the trouble makers.  But there are times you really need to freshen the bathroom.  Sprays with essential oils are great and easy to make.  Here is a recipe I copied from Starwest Botanicals.

Bathroom Mist Spray Freshener

You will need: 35 Drops of Peppermint Essential Oil 20 Drops of Cedarwood Atlas Essential Oil 10 Drops of Anise Essential Oil 10 Drops of Cinnamon Leaf Essential Oil 4 oz (120 ml) Bottle with Sprayer 2 oz (60 ml) of Purified Water

Alternatively, for a fresh, citrus scent you may substitute 45 Drops of Orange Essential Oil for the Anise and Peppermint Essential Oils

Directions:

  • Fill a fine-mist spray bottle with 2 ounces (60 ml) of purified water.
  • Add the essential oils. Tigthen the cap, and shake well.
  • Mist numerous times to freshen the air.
  • Label the bottle and store in a cool, dark place.
  • Sure beats the smell of that other stuff!
