Plastic Bag Ice Cream

15 Jun

Yummy, fun for the kids, and nice to do on a hot day.
You will need:

1 Tab. Sugar
1/2 Cup Half-n-half
1/4 tea. Vanilla
2 Tab. Rock Salt
Ice Cubes

Gallon and sandwich-sized Zip-Top bags.

Mix the sugar, half-n-half and vanilla in the sandwich size bag. Seal tight, and place in an other sandwich size bag, and seal tight.  No place in gallon bag add ice cubes and rock salt.  Shake, rattle and roll. The bag gets very cold, so I placed it in a kitchen towel to shake.  Our took about 8 minutes to get hard.   The reason I double bag the ice cream mix is to avoid any salty water getting into the ice cream, so throw the outside bag away.  Experiment with different flavors or add-ins, like chocolate chips and enjoy your ice cream.
